The prayer of the warrior.

Grant me discernment, O Lord, and keep my anger in check. Let me only use it in the heat of battle and keep it pure and only for Your intent. It does have a way of serving Your purpose and makes it possible for light to be shown in the darkness; but, it is a fire that consumes and it is hard to control. Grant me the wisdom to wield this double-edged sword for Your purpose alone. I trust in You and know that You will not let me falter. Let Your spirit guide me so that I might be justified in the wrath that is to come.
